Description
The obsState state machine for a subarray includes an Abort command that can be sent iwhen in some obsStates. When an Abort command is sent to the Subarray controller all subarray devices should move to the obsState ABORTED in which their system state can be examined.
From ABORTED it should be possible to send the Restart command to set all child devices to a known obsState, the EMPTY obsState, in which the subarray device has no resources assigned. See the Decision in ADR-8.
This will provide the first level of recoverability of the subarray devices.
For this to work completely, it requires the coordination of TANGO components provided by the OMC and DP trains, hence the need to raise this at capability level.
