Dish LMC tests (using the DS, SPF and SPFRx simulators) exist to demonstrate in Dish LMC repo that the following are achieved:

      • Dish LMC reports Dish status based on DS, SPF & SPFRx status.
      • Dish LMC reports Band 2 capability.
      • Dish proceeds to STANDBY_LP, STANDBY_FP, OPERATE and STOW dish modes on command.
      • Dish LMC configures DS, SPF & SPFRx when a frequency band is selected.
      • Dish LMC passing component tests that support XTP-3504, and XTP-3505 exist in ska-dish-lmc
      • TrackStop command and capturing attribute are implemented

Tickets exist in Karoo backlog to fix failing tests.

    Description

For SP-2573 Dish LMC's DishManager TANGO device:

      • was created,
      • was integrated with existing simulators for Dish Structure, SPF and SPFRx,
      • desired behaviour for Dish startup and following commands was implemented: SetStandbyLPMode, SetStandbyFPMode, SetOperateMode, SetStowMode, ConfigureBand2 and Track,
      • attributes were implemented: state, healthState, dishMode (STARTUP, STANDBY_LP, STANDUP_FP, OPERATE, CONFIG, STOW), b[1,2,3,4,5a,5b]CapabilityState, configuredBand, achievedPointing, desiredPointing, pointingState.

Some of the above copied the implementation of the DishMaster device (that was replaced by the DishManager device).

      This feature includes:

      • updating DishManager or DsManager (as applicable) as required for deficiencies identified by (and not fixed as part of KAR-435),
      • extending Dish LMC to include DishManager capturing attribute and TrackStop command,
      • for commands and attributes already implemented in Dish LMC: comparing existing Dish LMC component tests and DishManager tests against the interface descriptions of Dish LMC to TMC MID, DS, SPF and SPFRx, and Dish LMC requirements,
      • updating Dish LMC component tests and DishManager tests where they deviate from above mentioned documentation,
      • creating, in Team Karoo backlog, tickets for instances where Dish LMC deviate from the tests.

Note that if the DS, SPF, or SPFRx Simulator need to be updated to ensure that a test passes, that will be done as part of the following tickets:  SP-2757 and SP-2758 and SP-2759.
