Analyse Software Defined Infrastructure requirements for sITF

Complete set of requirements of CICD, monitoring & logging infra, distributed storage solutions (Ceph), Container Orchestration, virtualisation, QA and operational support software and related infrastructure will enable the smooth deployment of these services, or perhaps negate their need. A set of requirements already exists for STFC cloud and Low PSI, and similar is being developed for MID PSI. This Spike is related to the MID sITF . As part of the Milestones for the Products (TMC, CSP, SDP), delivery of necessary compute and network infra (server and a switch, for instance) was included. This was before Kubernetes (K8s) and containerised application deployment was widely adopted throughout the project, and so there are now real questions arising on whether or not these items should be COTS and not itemised, and also on ownership and management responsibility of the K8s clusters and other infrastructure. Clarity on this will enable ECPs to be drafted and purchase orders to be finalised for compute and network infrastructure, and also responsibilities for the same.
