    Description

The objective of this enabler is to clearly capture the computing and network access requirements for the establishment of the PSI MID infrastructure.

Some work has been done in the past and implemented in the context of the PSI LOW (See SP-900), that can be leveraged in this instance. In particular:

      https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Xdv5CaFvSYsKljPLh984X3ICiRzt4whkv-NeYMtgVNc/edit

      https://confluence.skatelescope.org/display/SE/LMC+and+TMC+Server+Configuration

      https://docs.google.com/document/d/1QCZZ9uGEKioU9VsnIjtYnt_LbY3xhOhrmarFJ1O6VC0/edit

resulting in the LOW PSI configuration described at:

      https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1_jtYac3pgyFm1xwJ3UnsUOCS8tA3cbvYNOWDG1Q7QGI/edit?ts=5ee98a5e#gid=0

From the PSI LOW experience, it is noted how the network configuration and the management of remote access to the PSI infrastructure is a bottleneck to the effective usage of the facility.

The network is described at: https://confluence.skatelescope.org/display/SE/Low+PSI+Network+Configuration

and the access procedure is described at: https://confluence.skatelescope.org/display/SE/Process+to+request+access+for+PSI+Low+Test+Setup

This solution is not performing to a satisfactory level, making every remote access almost useless. It would be good to learn from this and frame requirement for the MID facility so that remote access is better streamlined and performing.
