      Automated (and tracked via X-ray) tests are used to show the creation of SBDs capable of driving:

      • MID & LOW Raw visibility data capture observations
      • LOW tied array beam data capture observations
      • MID holography observation.

      The ODT is able to provide SBDs during (and beyond) PI23 which can be used to achieve the following activities:

      • SBDs created by the ODT can be used to drive MID & LOW Raw visibility data capture observations.
        • In the case of MID the ability to specify any number of 5-point scans during a visibility data capture observations.
      • SBDs created by the ODT can be used to drive LOW tied array beam data capture observations
      • SBDs created by the ODT can be used to drive MID holography observation.

    Description

      What & Why?

      Complete the implementation of the 'SB editor' element of the ODT, plus Project and Observing Block pages, to a sufficient level of stability & functionality that allows the ODT to be used to create SBDs that drive an initial set of AA0.5 observation types, including continuum, holography (MID-only) and PST (LOW-only) observations for Mid and Low.

      This will require the updating of PDM schemas and OSO scripting to be able to use Low's apertures and to incorporate the changes to Mid's correlator definitions. CDM (and ideally TelModel) will need to be updated to accept what we send them so this will need some coordination.

      PSS schemas will need to be examined as well - are they in place and up-to-date downstream of OSO?

      This would maybe be a good opportunity to link the ODT with the OSD and get some parameters from that e.g. subarray information.
