    Description

Current FPGA firmware uses both 40G ports of a TPM to transmit data to the switch. The FPGA firmware can be modified to use a single 40G port, saving a substantial amount of cables and switch ports. Relevant work on this feature has been carried in PI-12 for SP-1721, however it has not been tested on real hardware.  As the firmware design has evolved, the code produced for SP-1721 should be reviewed and possibly modified to be integrated into the current FPGA firmware design. Tests on hardware should also be carried out to verify the correct operation. This modification is only relevant to TPM 1.6 and not expected to be implemented for TPM 1.2 due to hardware limitations.
