      The onboarding training program will enable new starters to understand the context within which they contribute in a more structured and efficient manner, allowing them to contribute in a meaningful manner within a shorter timeframe.

      An onboarding training program is delivered before the end of PI8, targeting all new starters in the SAFe program. 

      The onboarding training program is augmented with training material that can be referenced in a structured manner, and is accessible to all new starters. The onboarding training is a hosted online event, providing an opportunity for questions and answers. 

      The onboarding training program is followed by a survey, completed by delegates, where delegates are likely to recommend the onboarding program to new starters in upcoming events (How likely are you to recommend the onboarding training program to new starters in the next PI?...Extremely Likely, Likely, Not Sure, Unlikely, Extremely Unlikely)

    Description

      There is a need to formalise our onboarding processes to ensure people joining the SAFe trains are given the right guidance to enable them to be productive. An onboarding training event is part of this process. A draft program for the training event is available here:

      The first event is tentatively scheduled for the 9-11 Nov, ~4 hrs per day. 

      Each entry in the agenda needs to have material prepared, whether it is in the form of slides, a demo, links to material etc. 

      The SAFe Solution Mgt Team will need to be heavily involved in delivering this feature, however a number of contributions from Teams are expected...in particular Planet (Verity) and System Teams (Piers, Ugur).
