    Description

TMC integration with CSP (and other subsystems) is critical to achieve SS-146 and to ensure that the single PST Tied-Array Beamforming (TAB) to capture filterbank voltage data is available in AA0.5 for offline analysis. It is identified as one of the high priority capabilities for AA0.5 along with interferometry as per ECP-210037(https://confluence.skatelescope.org/display/CMI/ECP-210037+-+Update+SKA1-Low+Functionalities+in+AA0.5+and+AA1). If this integration does not happen in PI23, there is a risk of not having the TAB capability for AA0.5.

Risk is mitigated if either of the integration teams (AIV or TOPIC) are able lead and perform this integration in PI 23 in collaboration with the other relevant OMC/DP ART teams. Note that L2 CSP integration of LMC-CBF-PST is already demonstrated by Perentie at the LOW PSI through SS-109 (https://jira.skatelescope.org/browse/SS-109).

Note that this is also a risk for the correlator implementation if the TMC integration is not performed with real systems

      As of 2024/06/05 :
TOPIC have indicated that they neither have capacity nor the expertise to be able to perform the TMC-CSP integration tests. So it was decided with AIV that TOPIC will not be involved.

AIV have indicated that TMC-CSP integration will not happen in PI23 but could happen in PI24 or even pushed back to PI25. Potential risk of AIV not delivering PST TAB at the time of commissioning AA0.5 in November 2024.
