      Progressing the BMS Tango interface gives us the ability to provide the key BMS monitoring points in TMC dashboards and allows us to archive in the EDA. This eventually allows operators to view consolidated monitoring in a single integrated solution and reduce the need to seek information from different systems.

    Description

      Define Interface Requirements for Low BMS Integration with TANGO

      Explore and define the interface requirements for integrating the Building Management System (BMS) with TANGO software for the Low Telescope.

      This involves  understanding the documentation for the BMS as well as interaction with the Design Lead to define the interface specifications including the protocol standards, as well as developing a robust interface architecture. Initial requirements for what monitoring points are needed through this interface will also have to be identified through interactions with the Telescope Operations team especially for the points of view of the telescope operators and engineering.
