      The ability to store view and filter relevant SysLog messages  is an essential part of a Monitor and Control Solution. Providing a ready to deploy packaged version of the TMC Logger solution will make the deployment consistent with the Docker / Kubernetes approach we are going with for the rest of the system.

      • The necessary images to deploy the Logging solution are available on Nexus
      • The  images conforms to the SKA containerisation guidelines
      • The Logger is deployed as part of the MVP integration prototype
      • Basic functionality of the Logger is demonstrated in the integration environment

    Description

      Packaging and deployment of the Central Logger in TMC that consolidates the SysLog messages from the downstream devices. Logging has been been tested in an earlier spike by the NCRA team. However this was done without any packaging and deployment using containers etc. The goal of this ticket is to be able to provide the Logger functionality in a ready to deploy package using a Docker image(s).
