    Description

Investigate sub array isolation: Different software versions by carrying out DESIGN SPIKE

This ticket has been split into 2, this one is a DESIGN SPIKE and is CLONED by SP-941 wherein the testing can be done

In the Design Spike it is expected mainly to look at the different scenarios under which different software versions are expected to coexist, the  needed support like backward compatibility etc. and possible implementation approach to ensure.

This is one of the aspects of the robustness of the TMC architecture as an NFR.

Different sub arrays should be able to run different software versions. This will enable us to upgrade software incrementally in a running system.

Additional point that we should bear in mind that came up in the Backlog refinement workshop:

Consider whether we need to isolate namespaces to prevent contamination across subarrays, and commence development of a general strategy to deal with devices going down.
