      • Reviewed ADR-55 and related work on meta-data descriptors for AA0.5 data products
      • Met with stakeholders in Platform and Architecture areas to workshop possible solutions for PST data transfer to SDP. Meeting Notes.
      • Developed a meta-data definition for PST voltage data products.
      • Developed a plan for how PST data will be written to SDP shared storage
      • Provided example PST output data product to Naledi for testing with SDP Data Product Dashboard
      • Investigated and developed simple test that writes to CEPH shared storage
      • Prepared a Feature (SP-3340) for the implementation of this functionality in a future PI

    Description

      Context

The SDP data product dashboard developed in PIs 16 and 17 provides access to visibility data sets captured by SDP. If we can use the same dashboard to access beamformed voltage data captured by PST, then the users of the system will have access to the data products expected at AA0.5 via a single interface.

This would require the PST data products to be written into a shared Kubernetes volume (or moved there after the fact), and the data product paths and metadata to follow the standards defined in ADR-55. (This ADR can be reopened if the standards are not suitable for PST.)

      Who?

      • AIV engineers.
      • Commissioning scientists.

      What?

      • An assessment of the feasibility of using the SDP data product dashboard to access PST data products.
      • If it is found to be feasible, a feature in the backlog to implement it.

      Why?

      • Providing a single interface for accessing data products will make it easier for users to interact with the system.
