    Description

       

      This work will build on the recent effort to establish the use of the SDP QA signal displays dashboard alongside the notebook system test implementations.  In the first instance this will primarily complete the integration of the QA signal displays into SDP to enable the system testing outlined in Solution goal 4 (and Solution goal 5) with the current functionality. This should ensure all necessary documentation including appropriate release information is updated and ensure that the correct data is being displayed as expected.

      Further improvements are also needed to increase the information and usability of the plots provided through the dashboard. Updates should be made to the dashboard to ensure inclusion of:

      • Visibility amplitude versus frequency auto-correlation plots (broadly this is served currently by the existing spectrum plot, but will likely need work to ensure the correct data is being plotted and it has appropriate labelling/keys)
      • Visibility amplitude/phase versus frequency of the correlated data for multiple baselines
      • Waterfall plots of each baseline showing cross-correlated amplitude or phase for each baseline.

      Some of these plots are almost completely or partially existing, so work should initially focus on confirming with the FO (and other stakeholders) that they meet the required needs and perform as expected or are updated as required.

      However the above changes should be limited in scope appropriately to ensure that changes are integrated fully with SDP and the signal display dashboard is deployable with these changes for inclusion in the Solution-level tests associated with Goal 4. Updates to the imaging notebook scripts are planned for PI18 under SP-3242 and SP-3244. The updated signal displays from this work should also be fully integrated to be deployable for inclusion in those improved notebooks.
