      1. Design and prototype of initial solution for managing and providing a single source of truth for Instrument Configuration data.
      2. This will need to be easily updatable and extensible and be able to manage and be queried for different types and versions of data
      3. Solution tested for providing at least 2 of :
        • AA0.5 receptor positions,
        • RFI Masks
        • Model parameters required to evaluate uvw-coordinates from receptor positions.
        • Model parameters that are needed to calculate correlator delays.
      4. Sufficient documentation to begin the development of a client library to integrate, update, and obtain data from this service (SP-2148)

      AC1: service

AC2: address extensibility and query interface

      • The recommendation coming out of the respective Arch Sync discussion on ADR-30 is to hide the database or warehouse behind a generic API interface (possibly fastAPI).

AC3: solution works for the two metadata concepts AA0.5 receptor positions and RFI flags.

      AC4: documentation

    Description

(consideration for expanding to a wider scope in future)

      • Needs to consider data models and formats, APIs for access and update of data, use cases for SDP and other elements (MCCS?).
      • Whoever pulls this ticket should make sure to work with the Architecture group (both in DP and OMC) to establish intended architecture and architectural runway suitable for development to begin but with a view that prototyping beings as soon as possible so the design can be iterated on if needed.
