      The SDP-TMC interface needs to be revised for ADR-16 and ADR-33, including the required configuration database changes. This mainly means introducing execution blocks as a concept separate from scheduling blocks instances.

        • including preparation for commensal observations (should just be tracking SBI IDs per PB, but this will get important down the line)
        • support adding (i.e. AssignResources) batch processing blocks without an EB / real-time PB
      • SDP configuration (database) data model and CLI updated to use execution blocks instead of SBIs
      • Add SDP sub-system tests to check the behaviour
      • Stretch: Implement resource tracking / check per subarray using resource dictionary
      • (Hard) Stretch: Look into how SDP could re-configure real-time processing instead of re-deploying it

    Description

      Time-boxed feature for introducing Execution Blocks (ADR-33) and revising the interface (ADR-16). This should put us into a good place for dealing with AA0.5 engineering activities (for which we might need separate EBs) as well as put us into a good position to tackle more advanced features down the line (more complex resource negotiation and commensality).--
