The verification of requirements defined in the AIV MID Continuous Integration Plan is currently an unknown / undefined process. If one such set of requirements that relate to preferably an integration point early in the plan can be identified, defined in Gherkin (BDD), and related Python tests can be produced, the process will be better understood from the viewpoints of both the AIV and the (T/P)DTs, and the software teams (SAFe).

A proper definition of such a process can assist with building a bridge between the AIV planning documentation and the agile software work streams.

    Description

A Continuous Integration (CI) Roadmap for the MID AIV exists. (This could perhaps rather be called Continuous Product Integration but should be discussed).

The tooling is available to connect a test executed in the CI pipeline of SKAMPI to a Jira-based X-Ray report. Between the two extremities, a process is required to translate verification requirements (L1/2/3) to these tests, so that these test results can be interrogated at the appropriate times.

The purpose of this enabler is to demonstrate how the CI Roadmap can assist the SAFe Solution teams with generating their release roadmaps, by creating relevant Gherkin scenarios and test plans and translating them into Python tests.
