Reviewing the work that has been achieved verses what was desired in the acceptance criteria, it appears that this does not attained the required level of attainment. However the clarification portion of this feature required a larger portion of the effort and the clarifications achieved are documented in the linked Confluence pages below. This has paved the way towards allowing the implementation of Beam devices to be readily achieved in coming PIs. The work done through this feature has also assisted in clarifying details at an architectural level.
The following Confluence pages capture the clarification discussions around the Station Beam and Subarray Beam which led to the implementations and those intended for inclusion in PI9 and into PI10 MCCS codebase.

Implementation of these classes will be done under SP-1456, moved to PI-10

    Description

The StationBeam (and now SubArrayBeam) Tango devices is responsible for running beams and the scanning thereof. This means that it is responsible for configuring, via Tile devices, the TPM hardware (multiple devices) forming tile beams at the required pointing, over the required frequency channels, and directing the output data streams appropriately. Beam set-up is by means of a Configure Tango command Ref. SAD section 6.3.5

It has been necessary to establish a number of architectural clarification regarding the StationBeam in the previous PI. It is now clear what has to be implemented and how this can be achieved (via SubArrayBeam).

This Feature will implement a bare-bones SubArrayBeam device/object to manage the signal-chain data-acquisition streams and interact with TM following architectural clarification as presented in https://confluence.skatelescope.org/display/SE/MCCS+Station+Beam+Device
