      In order to avoid potential issues with interfacing between the DP SDP MVP and the OMC (OET) MVP and to promote testing of the integrated SKA software system on regular intervals, it must be possible to regularly exercise and test end-to-end execution of DP workflows in an integrated test environment.

      At least one DP SDP workflow executed in the integration environment as part of regular automated end-to-end system tests.

      This feature will be tested as follows:

      An acceptance test that demonstrates how the configuration and scan instructions received by the SDP subarray result in the correct workflow being executed and runtime attributes communicated correctly to CSP. 

      In addition, it shall show how unit tests run that delivers test coverage as per quality standards. It shall also show a set of integration tests that test the correct implementation of protocols and interfaces between SDP components and between SDP and external components (CSP and TMC)

    Description

      Ensure that workflows available to the data processing MVP can be regularly deployed and tested in the integration environment (ie deployed in a shared test integration system such as the engage-SKA cluster or suitable widely accessible alternative).

      In order to do this it will be necessary to identify and work with other teams from the DP and OMC ARTs to define and create a the system integration tests needed for end-to-end execution of workflows via the OET / TM interface. The responsibility for making this capability possible within the system-level MVP is captured in SS-24.

      From a DP SDP ART perspective, a key enabler in making this possible may be establishing how DP SDP workflows are discoverable in the integration environment.
