NetTerrain Administration

As information has been entered into NetTerrain, there seems to have been no consistency for using attributes, devices, etc. Before we add even more information into this tool, we need to tidy up what is there and then move forward in a consistent manner. Some of the tasks identified are:

• Standardising the device catalog (how many "Buildings" do we need?).
• Standardising the attribute names and ensure the correct text is in the correct attribute.
• Creating icons\images for Zones, Buildings, etc (make it more asthetically pleasing).
• Adding colour to the connections to denote VLANs.
• Adding a Change Reference attribute to every device and connection to manage\highlight changes\discrepancies (include change progress, open\closed)
• Implement cosmetic changes to standardise things like font size, text justification, connection layouts, label positions, etc.
• Identify a way for people to add comments\suggestions.
• Add a comments field to all devices.
• Ensure there is consistency between the Mid and Low designs with regards to diagram layouts and drill down levels.
• Add maps to the relevant diagrams showing the locations (or estimated locations) of each building, receptor, etc.
• Create Diagram Templates (Diagram Title, SKA Logo, etc) and assign a template to each diagram.
• Ensure Naming Convention has been followed.
• Create a standards document for NetTerrain.
