Description
6 out of 8 Talon-DX on-board LTM power modules are connected via the Secure Device Manager through I2C that is somehow linked through the FPGA.
These modules are not accessible via I2C busses 0 or 1 (conventionally controlled and accessed easily through HPS using generic I2C Linux drivers).
Monitor and control of these devices is crucial in providing accurate and complete status for the on-board power modules.
This investigation may require code development in the ip-subsystem, or direct manipulation of the i2c via the FPGA from user space.
The LTM TANGO Device and Server, as wells as the GUI are already in place (provided by SP-349) but the communication infrastructure has to be extended to provide for communication with this 6 modules.
