Description
What: Provide an example mechanism through which the required 50 (or whatever number) of 5-point scans can be conducted using OSO scripting commands in a Jupyter Notebook such that an EB is created in the ODA to record the commands issued.
Why: Moving to OSO lead control of observations at the earliest realistic time is benefitical to the SKAO as a project, helping us to debug and derisk the complete control chain ASAP.
How: At least of options are possible:
- Create an (Scheduling Block) SB with the ~50 targets, set up to conduct an 5-point scan for each target. Execute this using an existing Jupyter Notebook (e.g. [this one|https://gitlab.com/ska-telescope/ska-jupyter-scripting/-/blob/main/notebooks/observing/MID_execute_sb.ipynb?ref_type=heads])
- Create a whole new notebook with all the JSON to do the 50 targets (either hard coding the target data or drawing it from an external file).
- Some other mechanism TBD.
