      Targets are configured via the prometheus configuration which does not know if service endpoints have changed or new services have been added. This should eventually surpass the need for manually capturing service endpoints.

      We/the SOG need to consider what is the information flow intended? This may need to come as a need from the SOG’s ways of working. Might not be critical in the short term, alerts might be more important and actionable for the SOG. See https://jira.skatelescope.org/browse/SP-4466
