Adding remote control to the test environment allows users to perform tests from preferred locations as and when needed. Without remote control, the user wanting to perform the test has to reach out to the ITF team to request settings to be changed. The ITF engineer has to be on standby for the duration of the test to make any changes during the testing procedure.

    Description

The MID sITF team has a signal generator and an arbitrary waveform generator. The Atlas team previously worked to add functionality so that the signal generator could be remote-controlled via a dashboard. A large portion of what we wanted was already completed, but not everything. Some portion of the work here brings that completion to 100%.

For the AWG we would like to add functionality to have this remote controlled. The Vulcan team did some work on the same AWG for the LOW team, but I am unable to determine the scope of the completed work. Part of my request here is to have someone look into what was done and then match that with what is being requested before commencing work to avoid duplication.
