      The Data Lifecycle Manager allows users to access and some users to delete data. Having appropriate authentication and authorisation with RBAC  (Role-Based Access Control) will reduce the risk now of accidental data deletion, and in the future of unauthorised access or deletion.

      As a user, if in an appropriate group, I can view data.
      If I am not in an appropriate group, I cannot view data.
      Similarly, if I am authorised to delete data, I can delete data. If not, then I cannot.

The DLM for now has implemented a functional, but temporary, gateway in the context as described on that page. This is now also cross-linked with this feature in the Issue Links below.
