Description
This description expands the original quote from Nick's PI4 roadmap: "Operator feedback - waterfall plots, QA feedback"
- Screen that reflects the signal and data path of the instrument
- Observing schedule with upcoming and current and pointing information
- Primary and side lobes projected onto a skybox
- RF chain and instrument health integrated into a graphical representation of the instrument showing active baselines and error states along a RF or data path
- Spectral band pass plots/feedback mechanism for each course channel
- RFI detection and possible antenna/RF chain gain correction loop and/or flagging mechanism otherwise
- Highlight issues with RF path i.e. cable issues, ADC/DAC and/or amplifier defects with auto flagging if necessary
- Embed RF chain health in metadata i.e. dead antennas (baseline exclusions), RF spikes, bin overflows, etc
- Correlator and ingest data path health
