By creating a strategy for storing metadata a consistent approach can be adopted in SRCNet that will result in metadata being easily referenced and locatable.

The sooner this is defined, the less hardcoded locations will need to be re-written.

    Description

We believe that a strategy for the storage of metadata across SRCNet is required. This is because both CANFAR and Rucio have metadata capabilities but operate in different fashions. The absence of a strategy could result in duplication of effort or mis-cataloguing of data.

We will test this by working with the Architecture team to produce a strategy that can be reviewed and agreed with SRCNet participants.
