CANFAR looks to be a promising option to offer access to containerised services to support analysis at SRC sites. If we can show that it is adaptable to meet the APIs of SRCNet, to scale out to suitable sizes, to support the transition between interactive and batch jobs and into HPC resources then we can adopt it as an SRCNet0.1 component.

Description

CANFAR science platform has recently been made more readily deployable and successfully deployed at 4 SRCNet locations (by Coral and Magenta teams).
In so doing this has revealed some technical debt and outstanding queries that should be resolved before this is formally deployed at SRCNet0.1 sites.
