This mechanism is complementary to semantic zooming which is likely not to be available very soon.

Using this mechanism, users of Taranta dashboards can easily drill down to interested components of the system/subsystem by taking advantage of the visual representation of the system provided by the synoptics. It is expected that this increases usability of engineers testing and debugging complex systems.

    Description

Extend the synoptic widget (https://jira.skatelescope.org/browse/SP-3894) to support drill-down and wrap-up.

With a running dashboard A that has a synoptic widget. users can click/activate an element in the SVG and in this way open and directly run another dashboard. From such a dashboard there is a mechanism to go back to dashboard A.

For the editor of the dashboards, when working on the SVG file (eg using inkscape) appropriate data can be specified to link an SVG element to a Taranta dashboard.

The "back" functionality should not be built into the SVG file: it should be a runtime effect.
