The demonstration of a working prototype will provide significant credibility to the TM and Control System Guidelines for System CDR. They will also act as a platform for learning about the proposed architecture and a template for developing more advanced implementations of LMCs and TM itself.

Product Management will follow documented instructions to check out and build code, run up the prototype and exercise it via control interfaces. No actual realistic telescope behaviour is required, the simulator actuals can just reflect demands. However, basic control, monitoring, alarm and logging functionality needs to be observed.

      Reusable software, including containers, for:

      • Archiver (Event subscribers, CASSANDRA configuration)
      • Logger (ELK stack or similar)
      • Alarm Handler (Panic or similar)
      • Leaf nodes and master node
      • Container orchestration
      • Test execution and related instructions

All software produced shall abide by the SKA fundamental software standards.

Report delivered describing the different use cases implemented in testing and the adopted architecture as well as the hardware configuration. Results of the tests.

    Description

It is envisaged an evolutionary prototype that demonstrates some very rudimentary functionalities giving the possibility to control (say) two sub-systems with rudimentary simulators, demonstrate monitor, control and scripting and so on.

This prototype might be the initial core of what would be eventually deployed at ITF/EPA/AA1.
