      In order to develop the instrumental calibration pipelines for AA2, SDP developers need to understand the requirements for the pipelines, and how they should be implemented and integrated into the SDP system.

    Description

      Requirements and design for the following instrumental calibration pipelines:

      • Antenna positions (YANDA)
      • Gains/Delays (YANDA)
      • Bandpass (ORCA)
      • Polarisation leakage (YANDA)
      • Flux density (YANDA)

      For each pipeline, we need to know things like

      • How often will it be run?
      • What inputs are assumed and what outputs are needed?
      • What is its design in terms of processing components, distribution, etc.? (This should be a reasonable hypothesis, to be validated in development.)
      • How should it be executed in the SDP system? Is it quasi-real-time (aka "prompt") i.e. it runs on a completed scan or set of scans during an execution block, like the Mid pointing offset calibration pipeline?
