There is a need to define baseline SRC NET node requirements. Currently these are not well understood.

Many parts of the infrastructure have very long lead times, so we need concert details ASAP. e.g. laying additional network fibres, getting hold of GPUs, etc.

    Description

Architecture document(s) to help understand the context of the tests, including documenting the most risky assumptions that need testing ASAP.

Create an initial "node profile",  a description of the hardware needed to be an SRC NET node. To start with, this will be a design for fully automated acceptance tests. These should include science pipeline benchmarks, storage system benchmarks and data movement benchmarks. These will assume a specific interface being used to execute the tests. The expectation is these will all evolve as our understand of the problem evolves, and they will use work from both the SDP team's benchmarks and UKSRC work on pathfinder and precursor workflows.
