Team Viola/Vulcan outcomes: The signal chain integration has been achieved in the Low ITF.

      • The SPS-CSP test has been run and passed
      • The CSP-SDP test has been run and passed
      • The Compute Cluster-Networks test has been run and passed
      • The SPS-CSP-SDP engineering model has been integrated and demonstrated. Successful integration was demonstrated informally, but the demonstration to stakeholders at PI22 Demo was somewhat derailed by subsystem bugs resulting in unexpected behaviour. We think further investigation is needed to stabilise the integrated system before we submit the work to a formal test.

Delivery of the above was delayed due to more subsystem bugs than anticipated. These bugs were reported through the SPRTS and SKB bug and issue reporting systems, thus contributing to subsystem improvements. SKB tickets raised as a result of this work include SKB-272, SKB-273, SKB-274, SKB-275, SKB-276, SKB-278, SKB-279, SKB-280, SKB-281, and SKB-282.

The remaining work involved integration with TMC, and the team was advised midway through the PI that delivery of this work was delayed, and the team would be unlikely to be able to start on it. This was fortunate because we didn't have the capacity to do this work anyhow due to an unexpectedly high load of unplanned work.

      • (0.5 FP) Perentie capacity reservation to support CSP with bug fixes, etc.
      • (6 FP) TOPIC: see linked must have tickets
        • 9.25 SP for Should have tickets not included in the size of this feature.
      • (4 FP) MCCS:
        • (2 FP) Support Wombat in resolving PaSD driver issues. Integration and validation of PaSD lower level driver interface to MCCS Tango devices and resolving any issues so that monitoring health status of PaSD is available and can be archived.
        • (1.5 FP) Improve existing test suite to enable AIV to integrate and test MCCS in ITF
        • (0.5 FP) Capacity reservation to support AIV in the ITF testing.
        • <Feature SP-3964 directly linked to SS-108 describes the TMC MCCS integration
          • Beam control to be delivered for AAVS3 in SP-3870 expected to be useful for the ITF release >
      • Viola (4 FP):

1 This is dependent on  Releases TAIV-791 and TAIV-827  being planned for PI21 and meeting release timelines.
