NEEDS UPDATING BASED ON CURRENT MCCS ARCHITECTURE

BDD test to configure, run process, show output plot of simulated data.

      Show that:

         - Tile simulator can produce a (simulated) data stream to a file

         - An analysis process can be triggered to execute when the data capture is finished

         - process completion becomes part of Health

         - there is a means to demo the feature by displaying the result

The proposed process of collecting power spectra was implemented. These are published as Tango attributes. A Gherkin test was written to check that the data are being published correctly.

It was not possible to demonstrate this currently due to Taranta not possessing the appropriate widget and other dependencies for showing the output with Grafana. Therefore a clone feature SP-3871 has been created to finish this work by implementing the Gherkin test, configuring the EDA to capture data and showing the captured data with Grafana.

    Description

Also look into the Feature SP-3552 created by the Sci-Ops team for the customer needs.

DESCRIPTION BELOW IS FROM EARLIER DAYS WHEN TICKET CREATED: NEEDS UPDATING BASED ON CURRENT MCCS ARCHITECTURE AND WHATEVER IS ACHIEVED AS OF PI19

A primary component of MCCS operation is support for processes which capture and analyze antenna data locally (independent from the CSP/SDP processing). These include both monitoring and calibartion processes, but the simpler case is a monitor processes that receives (or reads from a file) a short piece of data and produces a diagnostic plot, then exits. Several enabling capabilities are needed:

         - Tile simulator can produce a (simulated) data stream to a file

         - An analysis process can be triggered to execute when the data capture is finished

         - process completion becomes part of Health

         - a means to demo the feature by displaying the result

most of this enabling work will be done in features  SP-1193 & MCCS-80
