    Description

In preparation for integrating the digital signal processing (DSP) components of PST, which will be implemented on GPU, this work will provide the current state of the algorithmic performance of two critical functions of DSP: coherent-dedispersion and PFB inversion. As the product is scaled from AA1 through AA* to meet the required number of beams and bandwidth, it is important to de-risk the development of DSP by measuring the current performance and planning the improvements needed on both GPU technology and algorithmic efficiency.
