Description
Demonstrate the SDP displays to operators and other users of the telescopes at early array assemblies, such as commissioning scientists, to obtain their feedback on the displays. This should include the SDP Taranta dashboard, the signal displays and the data product dashboard. Ideally it would be a hands-on demonstration so that the users have an opportunity to interact with the displays for themselves.
Collect the users' feedback and turn it into a plan for improving the displays. This should be recorded as team stories (for small things, especially ones that can be implemented immediately) and features (for larger things that should be implemented in later PIs). If the team capacity allows, implement some of the smaller improvements this PI.
Who?
- Telescope operators.
- Commissioning scientists.
- AIV engineers.
Specifically this should include (Science Operations) Shari Breen, Riley Keel, Charlotte Sobey, Jimi Green (System scientists) Robert Laing, Justin Jonas, Shinichiro Asayama, Maciej Serylak
What?
- SDP displays have been demonstrated to telescope operators and other users and we have obtained their feedback.
- We have a plan for improving the displays based on the feedback, recorded as team stories and features.
- Time-boxed activity to implement some of the smaller improvements, if capacity allows.
Why?
- Enables improvements to SDP displays based on feedback from users.
