Data Discovery/Server Discovery Service Metadata Gathering

Feature needed to implement properly SP-3000 but with a general purpose.

The status of the SRCNet metadata should be accessible by the metadata management system. Some information that could be needed are:

• Visualisation servers details per SRC
• Capabilities by SRC (features available)
• The capacity of the SRCs (like occupancy, status, network speed, storage details, etc)

All this information should be compiled and, if used by the metadata management system, probably stored in a database although other methods could be proposed. 

This feature will be only focused on the visualisation servers details per SRC info.

So, the feature would be focused on:

• Compile metadata needed by SP-3000
• Include this information in some available metadata container (database?)
• Investigate how to get this information dynamically from a future deployment system and propose possible solutions

The third point is quite relevant to envisage future operations, providing a view of the SRC Net capabilities topology and, also, a monitoring system. Please notice that the monitoring system could make also use of the metadata management system to obtain this info if the metadata management system has this metadata available so, implementing this at the metadata management system could be multi-purpose
