FTS is a critical piece of the CERN file transfer stack. The SRC Rucio testbed currently uses a CERN managed FTS instance, but having our own would enable us to better understand the available parameter set, and also how much effort is required to maintain it. Some investigation has already been done in this area (see FTS deployment and relevant settings); this needs to be completed so that we can connect our instance of FTS to the Rucio prototype datalake.
