Description
System for managing containerised applications to support high availability.
A high availability cluster minimizes the downtime of applications running on it. Orchestrators such Kubernetes support high availability and an efficient use of the cluster resources as well as they improve scalability and reliability of the platform.
The idea is to deploy a system based on a container orchestrator (e.g. Kubernetes or Docker Swan) able to support high availability and to configure it so it will be able to get a container from a Container Catalogue (e.g. dockerHub or a specific SRCNet container catalogue) and execute it. With this system, a wide spectrum of applications and services can be prepared to be highly scalable.
In the future, we could also improve this system so the orchestrator is able to deploy/start the container in different SRCNet sites.
