It would be valuable to have a sense of the status of the groups involved in the SRCNet development work, and future SRC sites, with regard to the services available at each site, cloud infrastructure approaches, and available storage and compute hardware. This will help understand what test beds are potentially deployable in the near term.

This is follows from work done in PI15 (see https://jira.skatelescope.org/browse/SP-2646?src=confmacro)

Who for: To support SRCNet development teams

What: List of the computing facilities available for SRC activities (currently or in the near future) identifying their architectures, capabilities and policies. The questionnaire created in PI15 can be used to guide the discussions with the representatives of the computing facilities in order to gather the required information. In PI15 we contacted with the representatives of facilities in three countries, we need to continue this work to cover all the countries in the SRCNet effort. Presentation with the details of the work done so far: https://confluence.skatelescope.org/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=188668822&preview=%2F188668822%2F188677454%2FCoral+Demo+Computing+inventory+-1.pdf

Why: - To be able to assess the technologies considered for building the prototypes taking into account the architecture/capabilities/policies in the different SRC nodes. It also begins to establish the SRCNet community.

AC1:Confluence page clearly outlining the information areas we want from each site - e.g. hardware, compute environment, storage, services offered and typical ways of providing existing support

AC2: Populate theses areas for representative sites from at least 4 (but ideally from every) country participating in SRCNet.

AC3: For each site, map service catalogue items to the interfaces needed for the federated SRCNet services (e.g. data placement - into which storage?, AAI, workload distribution)
