    Description

      Who?

      SRC developers and architects

      What?

      • A Rucio Storage Element (RSE) is the logical abstraction of a storage system for physical files.
      • StoRM promises to provide a flexible, configurable, scalable and high-performance Storage Resource Manager (SRM) solution and with a WebDAV frontend would take advantage of existing technologies for token-based authentication and authorization.
      • Exploration of the technology would require
        • Spin up a StoRM RSE
        • Accepts tokens
        • Utilizing ESCAPE connections while we still can

      Why?

      • Gain experience with deploying and managing what promises to be a very capable RSE enabling further tests with the SKA managed Rucio instance
