      Internally releasing the Mid-SC in PI15 will allow for feedback from stakeholders within the SKAO prior to a public release. This feature ensures that a deployable version of the SC meets the minimum expectation usability.

      • Many changes were made to the SC in preparation for its first release. These include but are not limited to:
        • Exposure of beam weighting in the front-end (robust, natural, uniform)
        • Inclusion of spectral averaging
        • Display of velocity information for resolution and bandwidth
        • Correcting subarray mislabelling
        • Display of frequency ranges in Band buttons
        • General tidy-up, various fixes and optimization.
      • The PI14 work was demonstrated on 26 May.

    Description

      Through discussion with business owner and other stakeholders, a number of tweaks/changes are made to the Sensitivity Calculator (both front and back end) in preparation for the release of the Mid-SC in PI15.

      These changes include, but are not limited to:

      • Channel averaging options, following the latest Mid CBF capabilities.
      • Any changes needed to the frontend, from an "astronomercentric" point of view as specified by the Business Owner.

       

      Should come after SP-2394 work is concluded.
