      Test equipment integration into AIV workflows is essential for the sITF. This requires an underlying computing platform and integration into the software workflows. This should be addressed early to de-risk integration when the system becomes available.
      The changes from original CDR proposal to run vendor provided software on their own system to the more integrated approach using k8s across testing systems need to be documented.

    Description

      As test equipment procurement is imminent, a plan is required to integrate this hardware into the software testing flows to achieve traceability and reproducibility.
      This includes working towards a sITF software platform definition (around k8s), potential prototyping of TANGO Device Classes or similar, integration of the EDA and identifying other required steps.

      This feature is to collate information from supporting features to develop a plan for the sITF platform from a software perspective. This should form the input to a follow up ECP and or architecture decision (ADR).

      Note that covers activities which have been pending in TDT-602

      • prototype test equipment integration through python in SP-2004

      Supporting potential stories in this feature:

      • develop flows for JIRA test integration of test on equipment prototype
      • Investigate EDA for persistence of local and test data
      • document the proposed architecture and processed
