      To have a repository of the models (source code) and description documents. Documentation and code in repository are such that SKA Signal Chain Engineer (or any specialist signal chain engineer) can:

      • Specify a system so it has the right configuration and dependencies to run the models on.
      • Be able to check out and run the models so they can regenerate the essential aspects of the models that were used in the design of the systems that depend on the models.
      • Understand the results of the models in terms of the designs presented.

    Description

      This feature is to is ensure documented models of the "Golden" Signal Chain Models are committed into into source code control in such a form that SKA Signal Chain Engineer can run these models and reproduce the results the pre-construction consortia have based their designs on.

      Some aspects of this may have been done with Wallace Turner before he left, but this was not handed over to the new Signal Chain Engineer, with the result that the information appears to have been lost. This feature must ensure that this doesn't happen again.
