Description

The SKA Community Confluence server database is installed on same Linux instance as the web service/application. The local database in use (PostgreSQL 9.2) is not a supported configuration. The Confluence Server software also requires upgrading, to the latest LTS version in general release.

Refresh test instance

Test and then implement in live the migration of the DB to an independent AWS RDS PostgreSQL 9.6 instance.

Test the upgrade of Confluence the latest LTS release and confirm plugin upgrade needs and any compatibility issues.

Assess impact of upgrade of Live and if acceptable perform upgrade and plugin updates.

Adapt backup regularity and retention settings using the native AWS capability as appropriate.
