      Full implementation and unit tests have been added to the main yandasoft solvers (BasisfunctionMFS and Hogbom) ready for testing within ASKAP pipelines. It is to be included in yandasoft tag "release/1.3.0" and is currently in the main "develop" branch (https://bitbucket.csiro.au/projects/ASKAPSDP/repos/yandasoft/browse?at=refs%2Fheads%2Fdevelop).

      Documentation has been added, including an example that demonstrates achieved memory reduction (https://bitbucket.csiro.au/projects/ASKAPSDP/repos/askap-docs/browse?at=refs%2Fheads%2Fdevelop).

    Description

      In SP-1572 we prototyped an update to the Yandasoft imager to reduce the amount of oversampling used on HPC worker nodes. This resulted in a significant memory (and runtime) reduction for a relatively modest amount of work and only a small increase in technical debt, and it was concluded that the prototype should be worked into the production codebase. The associated work will be tracked in this feature.
