Description
At the moment, the list of processing scripts that any instance of the SDP can execute is contained in its configuration database. This information is available using the CLI via the console or from the very basic operator web interface, neither of which is particularly usable.
This feature is to implement an "processing" Tango device to publish the list of processing scripts so it is accessible to other subsystems and the information can be displayed on a Taranta dashboard.
You should consider how you might extend its functionality to enable validation of processing script parameters. This would require the parameters to be described in the config DB, and the descriptions would need to be populated from the script repository when the SDP is installed.
Who?
- Users and operators of the system.
- Taranta dashboard developers.
What?
- SDP processing Tango device to publish the current list of processing scripts from the configuration DB.
Why?
- Increases the usability of the SDP.
