      In order to provide a stable and long lived, and canonical set of software artefacts for the life time of the SKA, it is necessary to construct a service to house, curate, access control, protect, and ship them.  Additionally, these artefacts should be namespaced within the realm of the organisation eg: skatelescope.org, as part of ensuring their authenticity, and control.

      An artefact repository is implemented based on the Nexus Community Edition that is deployed in-house that:

      • provides permanent namespacing for artefacts within skatelescope.org
      • Provides state of the art repository management features
      • Hooks for Global artefact analysis including: SAST, Dependency analysis, Vulnerability scanning, License scanning
      • Intelligent integration with the existing GitLab source code control and CI/CD
