Description
Purpose of this ADR is to achieve agreement and document desired MID CBF behaviour and details of the message exchange between OSO, TMC, SDP, CSP.LMC and MID CBF to a level sufficient for implementation.
Context: The MID CBF splits data into frequency slices that are ~200.0 MHz wide at the output of a frequency slice processor (FSP). Each frequency slice (FS) center is spaced ~198.2 MHz from the next FS center. This leads to an overlap of approximately 1.8 MHz or exactly 134.4 fine channels between frequency slices.
- Should the MID CBF send to SDP the fine channels from both frequency slices in the 1.8 MHz overlap regions?
- How does MID CBF provide to SDP the center frequency of the fine channel?
- How does MID CBF get told which channels to send to SDP (i.e., what is the band of interest)?
