We have created a generic receive Helm chart to deploy containers with DNS-based receive addresses:

      https://gitlab.com/ska-telescope/sdp/ska-sdp-helmdeploy-charts/-/tree/master/charts/receive

Version 0.2.0 of the SDP workflow library publishes DNS-based receive addresses corresponding to those created by the new receive chart.

Version 0.3.0 of the vis_receive workflow uses the new version of the workflow library and the receive chart to deploy visibility receive containers. This is initially intended to support the receiver developed by Yanda for the CDF-SDP emulator.

    Description

SDP LMC should become able to provide "proper" IP addresses and ports via the receive addresses mechanism. For the moment, this feature is only for Kubernetes-internal (pod) IP addresses, as for handling externally-facing ports we would first need a proper way to pin workloads to nodes.
